Briare is located at the junction of a river journey rich in historic towns and villages and gastronomy.
Briare has a network of small canalls. Canal Briare was built under Henri IV. It is powered by the plant-lifting of the nineteenth century. Designed by Léonce-Abel Mazoyer and Gustave Eiffel, the canal bridge is a monument to himself.
